After a day of walking through markets and touring monasteries we were worn out and decided to eat in the hotel.
Finding the restaurant was a chore in itself. We followed the signs and ended up in a huge room with two or three round tables. It looked abandoned so Jim and I sent the siblings to find out if we were in the right place.
We were close, but not close enough....they hunted and found another room that was all set for a meal of some sort. The room could easily hold 200 people and we were the only ones there - it felt like we were in some sort of dream.
There were at least three servers so the service was excellent. We decided on a seven course set meal that turned out to be eleven dishes, most of which were good. We had insisted on no Yak meat so instead were treated to fatty pork.
It turned out to be an fun experience, one we wouldn't want to have missed.
By the time we left the place was still empty with no sign of life anywhere, except for our servers.
