We spent the day visiting Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. My Fitbit tells me we walked 11.6 Kms by the end of the day, most of it in what we thought was extreme heat....stinking hot were the words used to describe this type of heat in China!
Angkor Thom was impressive and so was Angkor Wat, but it was almost information overload.
They keep telling us that this is the low season and the crowds are small. Well, I would hate to see the crowds in the high season then....many Japanese, Korean and Chinese tourists. And they seem to come in packs! Hard to maneuver around their tour groups.
I won't bore you with the history of these places, instead I will try to let the pictures speak. Even these don't do the temple at Angkor Wat justice.
