From Chinese Buffalo to Pepsoline

Today was a light hearted day compared to yesterday. We were up early to head to Kampot in the southwestern part of Cambodia.

We made a few stops along the way to visit a Buddist cave and then a pepper farm. We wouldn't know any better, but we have to believe the workers when they tell us that the Kampot pepper is the best In the world. We bought some black, red and white pepper....just to make certain their claim is legitimate.

Our guide is a young Cambodian who was born and raised on a rice farm near Phnom Penh. He has a great sense of humour...he introduced us to the Chinese Buffalo and to the gasoline sold in Pepsi bottles that he calls Pepsoline. Right now that sounds like a hot and tired joke!

It started to rain around 4:30 so we spent a very pleasant happy hour in our hotel open air bar and restaurant. The meal was excellent too!!

Pepsiline.....good one :-)
Good thing your guide told you about the Pepsiline.....looks like it's sold right beside the chips so would hate to make a mistake!!

The first time I saw it I thought it was home made lemonade -- either way I would not be trying it.
