Second Part of So Much Information

The rest of July 5th was spent in the Old City of Jerusalem following the carrying of the cross by Jesus.  There were many churches and religious sites along Via Dolorosa Road.  Alice has her hand on what people believe is the handprint of Jesus when he fell carrying the cross to his crucifixion.

We ended the morning at the site of his resurrection, along with many other people. Most of the people who stopped at the places were with huge bus groups so at times the area did get crowded.  Ameer told us that in the cooler months the line ups to see his tomb etc could be as long as three hours.

We did find time to take a break in the sightseeing and have lunch at a typical working person’s restaurant….excellent food. If you look to the front of the seated people you can maybe see Jim’s white shirt!

After lunch we finished our walking at the Dome of the Rock and the Wailing Wall (Western Wall). I thought  I had on the appropriate clothing (longer capris and a shirt) but they made me put on a skirt to cover my lower legs…it looked ugly but most importantly it was extremely hot!

That's the first photo of Colleen in a skirt since her wedding dress!! The yellow Canada bucket hat certainly completes your outfit....lol.

I'm sure Alice could follow the religious stories from watching "Jesus Christ Superstar" the 100's of times we have.

It must have been pretty amazing.

Colleen....I guess it took JC to get you in a skirt!! Very interesting posts. I am afraid it would all be lost in translation for me, as I did not watch Jesus Christ Superstar 1,000 times like Alice and Adelle. And we all know that movie is basically a documentary!!!
