A Very Long Day

July 4th was our travel day to Tel Aviv  and it was to be a relatively easy day…but of course, things didn’t work out as planned.

We were through security at Rome International in record time - didn’t have to remove a single item from our carryons! We boarded the plane maybe a half hour late but sat on the tarmac for almost two hours. The best we could understand was that Tel Aviv was only allowing us a short window in which to land and that window was two hours away.

The flight itself was smooth and ended with a perfect landing…. if you know how I feel about flying, that is a very important part of my day!

We had arranged for a driver to pick us up and take us to Jerusalem… that drive should have been about an hour in length but due to merging past a traffic accident we were on the road much longer than planned.

And this is why we had someone pick us up an drive us to our destination…..signs are a little difficult to read! Sorry for the blurry photos… I’m not that good taking pictures in a moving vehicle

Our hotel is located in the heart of Jerusalem with easy walking access to all kinds of shopping and restaurants.  Sorry for the lack of photos, but I forgot my camera at the hotel.

Well...that's memorable first few days. And you'll have to scars to prove it!
Hope your luck gets better after saying a few prayers in Jerusalem.
