This past week has been horribly busy with numerous things happening at once. Fred's mom being in the hospital and his Uncle Bill passing away kept us concerned about things other than travelling and selling.
Our realtor has seven homes in Tecalai that are for sale so she wanted to have an open house Saturday before we left. That, combined with our renters moving in on Monday, kept us hopping.
Our realtor was concerned about us being gone until mid-March and the possible sale of the house so she asked us to make it move in ready for any would-be buyers. Even though we didn't want to keep much stuff, I was forced to go through the totes as the hoarder in the family kept throwing in things he wanted to take home. Things that will look totally out of place in Canada!
The best part of the whole procedure was that we had absolutely no food in the house and had to eat out every day for a week!
Our neighbour had the best response to people who came to look at the houses and would ask why everyone is selling. He told them "we all came for a weekend ten years ago and it's time to go home"
