Short Holiday

We left San Carlos on Sunday, catching a ride with friends to the Hermosillo Airport. We flew to Mexico City and overnighted there before flying to Havana, Cuba. We arrived in Havana yesterday afternoon.

The ride from the airport to our hotel was one trip I will never forget. We piled into a 1956 Soviet-made vehicle and limped all the way to Havana. The cab driver blamed on the "bad, bad" gasoline! Every time he stopped at a red light we would stall and every so often the car would get flooded and we would have to wait it out. An adventure in itself - this was no guided tour transportation, it was the real thing!

By the looks of the cab's back window ledge our driver found other ways to occupy his time!

Hopefully he shared his Jameson with you two in the back seat. Too funny!
Glad you handled your transfers and not your travel agent!!
