Hike in the Canyon
It has been years since we hiked Nacapule Canyon so when friends from Grande Prairie asked us to join their group we jumped at the chance.
We made it to the bottom pool without much difficulty, but when some of us decided to go higher we had to make sure we chose the correct route.
The scenery was beautiful and quite lush considering this is a desert area.
As usual, Fred was the most agile and therefore the leader for a better part of the climb. He led us through a narrow passage and if you want to go higher it is very easy to miss.
The trail was not well laid out but with persistence we were able to find the correct path. There was a lot of rock climbing and some of it was quite difficult.
We had to maneuver another narrow passage on the climb down. I'm not sure I would want to do this hike with just two people because of the possibility of getting lost - maybe it is just me who has no sense of direction?
One of the ladies used a pedometer to check our steps and distance....over 5 kms hiked. Not bad for an afternoon excursion after a morning in the gym.

Great!!! I now know where my next hike down there will be. I'll just leave breadcrumbs to find my way out. Ali, you in?
The challenge is on again!
Game on. Definitely in on this one as long as we are not relying on Colleen for getting us in and out!
Hey, just noticed this comment. Why pick on the directionally challenged one of the group? BUT...you are right, of course!
