The First Week

Puerto Aventuras has had a little bit of everything since we arrived last Saturday. We have had clouds, fog, wind and rain.....lots of rain!

The rains usually come and go in the afternoon around here so we seem to rush in the morning to get our golfing in or our walk. By mid-afternoon we are back to watching the sky and timing our walks to get groceries.

Yesterday we took a collectivo to Playa Del Carmen to get pesos and go to Sam's [like our Costco] to stock up on groceries. The taxis just hang around Sam's waiting for foolish people like us...way too much stuff for the bus system.

The humidity of Mexico has been taking a toll on my golf clubs...had to have them regripped down here last year, my golf bag...it was rotted on the inside so had to throw it out, my brand new golf gloves....they fell apart with one wearing last year and today my golf shoes...the sole fell off. The moral of the story is not to leave your good golf equipment in Mexico over the hot/humid summer.
