Stuck Like Glue

I am surprised by the length of time it takes to get back into the swing of things, such as crossing the street. I was hesitant until I reverted to the not-so-secret of road crossing 101. Stick like glue to the nearest old person you can find and when they cross don't let them get farther away than arm's length. It works every time!

Except, we may have gotten a little careless today...a young lady grabbed Fred's hand and held him backing until a motorbike had passed and she then proceeded to lead us both across a busy intersection. Maybe we are now the "old person" I just described!

We spent the morning at the Apple Store trying to find a way to get our E Mails.  The tech worked about 3/4 of an hour, succeeded and charged us nothing. He bowed and thanked us for coming in. Love these people.

After showering to cool down, we walked to the Rex Hotel to check out the "Five  O'clock Follies".  The upstairs, open air bar was the unofficial headquarters of the American Generals.  It was here that they held their daily news conference with the many American reporters who were following the Vietnam War. The hotel complex has been redone, but the builders did their best to keep this piece of history in tact.

We found a neat little noodle restaurant near our hotel and ended up having a filling meal of noodles and tempura shrimp, all for under twelve dollars.

We were pretty worn out so we hit the bed by seven o'clock. This really is the first indication of jet lag so we are happy with that.

I can't figure out how to delete the last picture....seems to be a strange one, but it is meant to show a little of the Rex.
