On the way back to Jerusalem from Masada we stopped at Qumran, where Dead Sea Scrolls were found in eleven different caves.
It was hot….37 in the shade and around 40C in the direct sun. We were so close to the Dead Sea that we just had to stop and cool down!
I can actually say that I had my hand in the Dead Sea…. Didn’t have the mud baths nor did I float like Alice, but I am happy!
We had to say goodbye to Ameer, our guide, as we are driving to Amman Jordan tomorrow…. Right through Palestine again!

Just saying......I was not laying on top of a rock----water was deep
and it was impossible for me to keep my feet below water for more than a few seconds.
Well at least someone floated in the Dead Sea! Way to go Alice!
