This is becoming an all too familiar sight around our place. We are constantly repairing our bikes tires because of the goat's head thorns that are so prominent in this area. These thorns are also a nuisance to Maggie and they can stop her in her tracks when one embeds itself in her paw.
We have tried the old venetian blind trick around the tube to no avail so we are stuck with the steady repair job that goes with bike riding in San Carlos.

At least you have a bike. Remember, mine was stolen... oh, I forgot, I bought a new/old one off Craigslist! There are Goats Head Thorns in Mesa as well, but certainly not as many as in SC. Oh - by the way - you can get a repair kit at the Hardware Superstore in SC. Enough to fix 60 flat tires. Should keep you going until the end of January at least!

Thanks Doug, we will have to look into that as our kit is running low. But... where is the Hardware Superstore?
Hide your new bike or at least lock it up at night!
Do you do the same to Maggie when "repairing her paws"???
She is a little more difficult to turn upside down.
