Last Minute Sight-Seeing

For those of you who don't know, the Movie Catch-22 was filmed on the beaches of San Carlos. We had wanted to check out the old movie site long before this, but circumstances just didn't allow it. We have been there numerous times and we wanted to see what damage the hurricane did to the area. None as far as we could tell!

The old buildings are still standing and the runway is still visible. Nothing special - just an interesting tidbit to the history of San Carlos.

Cars Can't Swim

Cars can't swim, but nobody thought to tell this visitor to San Carlos! He just assumed he could back into the Sea of Cortez, unload his water toy, leave his car there and forget about the tides.

We, along with 100 other people, had a front row seat to this event out at the Soggy Peso. Semana Santa is starting!!!!

Shrimp for Home

We had asked Abel to bring fresh, grande shrimp this morning so we could get it ready to freeze and take home. We were under the assumption that it would take us the better part of a morning to clean them, but Abel and his boys volunteered and the job was completed in 15 minutes.


This is the only way to clean three kilos of those nasty little things!

Freddie's New Golf Cart

The schemers from next door "bought" Fred a golf cart this morning. They thought he deserved to ride in style and couldn't resist the opportunity.


Fred was obviously pleased with his new purchase. And no, he wasn't drinking beer at 7:30 this morning!

A construction crew is building an addition next door. Siesta is a time to relax and refresh the body! No, the skinny legs with the white socks is not Adelle - she was busy trimming the trees on our roof.
