Something Got in Our Way

About 100 kms from Eatonia, we hit an antelope head on and did some pretty messy damage to our Prius....and to the animal!  She didn't survive the impact.

We struggled home and are now waiting for a SGI appraisal to find out what our next step will be. Stay tuned!

On Our Way

We left San Carlos on Saturday, April 13th and crossed into the USA by way of Lukeville. The crossing is much easier than Nogales but the drive getting there is much longer.

We stayed in Gila Bend Arizona the first might and probably will never stay there again. The hotels are not worth the 125.00 USD they charge and the restaurants are few and far between.

We drove on to Las Vegas hoping to see Diane but she had E Mailed that she had a busy day and would be unable to see us. We stopped by her house to put some things of Eleanor's in her mailbox and she just happened to be home.

We had a quick 20 minute visit before we left her to finish up her income tax....and yes, she was in a tizzy! Heather was calling when we left to help her mom go through the procedure....good luck to both of them!!! We know how income tax time feels.

Just for the fun of it, a friend decided to paint a picture of Fred with his two friends in Cuba...she doesn't think they are very good but for the price of a bottle of wine we are pleased!

Getting Mobile

We are back in San Carlos after a family emergency back in Canada and have been spending the week getting things ready for the summer close up.

Today I decided to trim my Rosemary plant. It had grown out of control while we were in the Caribbean and now was the time to get it back to a smaller version. It will grow wild again over the summer but trimming always works wonders!!
